They’re a natural escape from the city, a majestic landscape of towering cliffs, cascading falls and eucalyptus aroma.
Just 90 minutes from Circular Quay via the Great Western Highway, the Blue Mountains is part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, a protected area of over a million hectares that reaches deep into Wollemi. It’s a patchwork of steep gorges, rainforests and eucalypt forests home to over 400 species of Australian animals, including curious wallabies, shy dingoes and the famous lyrebird.
